DO WE SELL ANYTHING ?
As we do many Executor
clearances we are obliged to sell as much as we can for the benefit
of the Estate. Therefore there may be items in the sale that we would
NOT accept through the door; beds, cookers and such items. If in doubt
as to whether your goods are acceptable, please ask at reception.
CLEARANCE
AND VALUATIONS
Having many years
experience, we do this type
of work with care, consideration and in complete confidence. We first
visit the property to evaluate the contents and give a free valuation.
We must stress that nothing must be thrown away until we have been able
to view the premises in their entirety. This includes the contents of
lofts, garages, sheds etc.
CAN
ITEMS BE COLLECTED ?
Yes. But as we
charge a collection fee of £30 per hour (2 men + a van round trip),
it is in your interest to bring small items to the rooms.
WHERE
DO ITEMS COME FROM ?
Most of the items
we sell are submitted by local residents. We also contract to Banks,
Courts, Solicitors, Estate Agents and the like. We are specialists in
Executor clearances and are free to advise by appointment.
WHAT
DO YOU CHARGE TO SELL AN ITEM ?
We charge the seller
20% of the hammer price; £3.00 per lot entry fee; no handling
charge; no insurance charge, in fact NO HIDDEN CHARGES.
HOW
DO YOU PAY OUT ?
We pay CASH Wednesday,
following the sale, or if preferred we can post a crossed cheque.
ARE
ITEMS INSURED ?
Absolutely!
We have insurance cover for goods held on our premises, and Public Liability
Insurance.
WHEN
DO WE ACCEPT ITEMS ?
Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 3.30pm.
CAN
YOU PUT A RESERVE PRICE ON GOODS
?
Yes.
Subject
to a 10% auctioneers' discretion.
VAT is payable on all our charges.
